There are literally hundreds of tires in the Red River from the Denison Dam to Carpenters Bluff Bridge. These tire many of which have been there for years got there a variety of ways including but not limited to illegal dumping and erosion control methods. Now they are there and they are covered in sand and just keep reappearing. They need to be removed and recycled. Proper disposal/recycling of these tires is expensive. Just the recycling cost exceeds $3 per tire that does not including shipping and collection.
